Openings - Software Development Internship (React/Next.js)
Zebra Labs is offering a hands-on internship for early-career developers looking to gain real experience in building startup products.
Apply to Be Considered“Unpaid work. Long hours. Real stakes. Steep learning. If you keep up, you’ll have become a different kind of developer.”
An Internship That’s an Adventure
This isn’t just portfolio filler.
You’re joining a working team, building tools for real founders in a live startup context. You won’t be handed fake tickets. You’ll be onboarded like a junior crew member on an expedition — guided, supported, but expected to grow into the role.
There will be moments of confusion, ambiguity, and catch-up. But if you stick with it, you’ll level up faster than you thought possible.
What You’ll Be Working On
This is real work, shipped to production, with care and context.
What We’re Looking For
- Some prior code experience — university, bootcamp, or self-taught
- Hunger to grow fast, with a proactive and humble mindset
- Clear written communication (we’re async-first)
- Bonus: interest in early-stage startups or product thinking
What You'll Get
- Real-world experience with modern tools: Next.js, Tailwind, Supabase, and more.
- 1:1 mentorship from experienced engineers and the founder
- Portfolio-grade contributions (not toy projects)
- Flexible hours, remote-first culture
Note: This is an unpaid internship. Best suited to those looking for true experience and growth, not just a line on a CV.
What This Really Is
This is for someone ready to step into the unknown — with guidance, but not hand-holding. You’ll be part of the team. If you fall behind, we won’t be able to wait. But if you stay with it, you’ll earn your place and shape the future of real software products.
“When I was starting out, I had an internship like this. I barely understood anything in the first two weeks — but I stuck close to the devs, asked questions, and kept showing up. Soon I was shipping features, then integrations, and eventually leading whole projects. That same opportunity is here for someone else now.”
